7th December 1940

We moved back into mid-stream this morning, but we shall soon be moving all together, for the convoy conference was this afternoon and we shall be leaving at 10am. The  new orders are, that  if any ship in a convoy shows a light it will be fired upon by the commodore. A white rocket must be fired when torpedoed in night time. Also two different lights according to whichever side the torpedo has struck.
