25th December 1940
We were very fortunate last night because at 11.30pm the customs people came on board and sealed the wireless, so I didn’t have to go on watch.
The only difference between the meals today, has been turkey instead of beef! Oh! And oranges!!
We mustn’t grumble, for no doubt there are plenty worse off than us.
There are, of course, no games on board, so it has been pretty quiet. Fortunately, I was able to hear a bit of variety on the Chippie’s wireless.
