28th April 1941

At about 11 o’clock, we sighted Puerto or Porto Rico island, and a little later, Mona Island. Mona island is just a flat table-land about a 100 or 150 feet high. Puerto Rico is slightly more hilly.

At about 3 o’clock, a Yankee war plane came over. It was a Douglas Digby. Several neutral ships have been sighted lately.
