11th July 1941
We started loading at about 8.30pm last night, but have moved to a new berth today.
(Gradually this diary is becoming less and less tidy, and the construction, beyond words. However, why worry?).
I went for a walk to “Gockhall” Bridge , which was apparently built during the period from 1925-1928. It certainly is a fine bridge, and gives a clearance of about 150ft.
