Age
20 Years

2nd February 1944

We have been in sight of land for most of today, the Hebrides being on one side and the W. Coast of Scotland on the other. The weather has been poor and visibility low however.

The wind still continues to blow from the stern.

We may get into the Loch tonight but not right up to Oban.

The Old Man is rather quiet – almost miserable. He may cheer up later.

Littie is said at mealtimes. The 2nd Engr is a bit or a rag-time sort of fellow but ok on the whole. The Chief Engr is 58 years and old and past his prime, but still takes a watch as we have only 3 Engrs.
