Although it rained hard last night, and the S. W. Trade winds were blowing, this morning has turned out to be particularly nice. There is a lovely lazy swell, which causes the boat to pitch quite a bit. We are beginning to feel the heat of the sun a little more now and another two days or so out to see us in the tropics.

Perhaps I spoke a little too soon, Because it is now pouring hard with rain, and the horizon is obscured by a horrible grey missed.

I took a six hour watch last night from 4 –10 a.m., and before that I did from 8-10 in the evening.

The ships clock was put back another hour last night, making the difference between the BST5 hours. So now, as I am writing at 9:45 am, at home it is 245. Well as I have only had about six hours sleep out of the last 14, I think i’m going to bed.
