6th April 1944

I sent off ½ dozen bananas to Diana and Adrian by registered post. The Old Man gave them to us provided we sent them to children.

This morning I went to Edinburgh by bus to try to meet Ian Lane but the ‘phone people said it was a private number so I went to see “San Demetrio” instead at the Regal.

This evening I tried to ‘phone home, but eventually had to get Mr Graham.
