3rd May 1944

The wind had died by this morning, but this evening finds it freshening again.

Poor old “Stephy” (Stephenson) Alan, who is on his first trip has been sick almost from the time we left, although we have hardly moved!

I have found another chap from the “Waiwera” the 2nd Electrician. He left her the trip before she was pipped. Paddy Le Mont, the old Chief Electrician reused to sign on her again when he knew she was returning to the Medi. He is out of the company now.

He was the fellow who forever moaned while he was aboard the “Waiwera”.
