29th March 1942
Once again I had a wonderful sleep on the “guest” bed, and didn’t’ rise until 1215!
At 2.30 I went with Barbara (Mrs Jackson) to Valley Forge where the Revolutionists were nearly starved. The trenches are still to be seen.
The country was beautiful.
We saw the lovely stained glass in Valley Forge Chapel too.
On the way back, we went over Washington’s house and looked at all his furniture.
Snow fell hard later and is still falling now.
In the evening some more people came over for dinner.
