6th January 1945

I went to the office just before they closed and collected my money. Afterwards I arranged with Daphne to meet her at 1500 hrs., which she did, and we took a train out to Oystermouth and from here, walked to Llanghlyn Bay where we were in 1941 with Dad, mother, Iris and Mary. It still looks a lovely stretch of sand. We wandered around on the sand, and then made our way back over the cliffs to Mumbles, and from there to her house for tea. Afterwards we went to the pictures ‘Divorce of Lady X’. We back for supper and I caught the last train back.
