Rusty, one of the Cadets and a very nice fellow, and I went to Southport after lunch and had a grand day. We started off by going for a swim in the open air pool, which was very nice, then we had some tea. Afterwards we took a ride on the giant switchback which gave us a great thrill! Then we went rowing for an hour and finally ended up in the pictures so a grand time was had by all – or both.
