Pat Knight (one of the Apprentices), is still ashore and so a message was sent to the Naval Control, asking them to advise him of our orders so that he could join the ship later. We have been lying in Yarmouth Roads all day gas-freeing. The wind has been high and twice we have dragged anchor.
