6th November 1941

I have spent most of today in getting some sleep, as watches will soon be starting again. We sailed from Baytown at between 10.30 and 1100, but did not reach the open sea until about 2 or 2.30 pm. There was a gorgeous sunset at sixish, which was about as good a send off as anyone could wish for. Now we are well and truly on our way to Halifax once more and I am wondering what the Doucettes and Kesslers are thinking about now.

There are reports of submarines operating a few miles off the Labrador coast and even inside the Belle Isle Straits; it is thought that there are supply ships in Baffin Bay!
