Messed about this morning. This afternoon saw John Whitehouse for half an hour or so. Iris is okay now. Caught the 1630 train back to Southampton with Pete and Boson. Arrived Hamble 1930 and went to local Dancehall. Had Grand time. Pete knew some of the girls. His pet was Dorothy. Eileen was my “partner”. She had a chronic country accent.

To get back to Fawley we had to persuade two ferrymen to row us back.
