9th July 1945

I went ashore this morning to do some sketching, and enjoyed it very much. Managed to get a sketch of damaged Rotterdam Cathedral (St Laurens). Cycling helped me get around easily. Weather has been very sunny. This afternoon I did some more sketching of “The Corner House” but I lost the sketches as well as my board and set square.

Searched frantically but could not find them. This evening I went to the YMCA dance first then went to the International M.N. Club. Had quite a good time and made a couple of sketches.
