At last the great day has come!! We piled into lorries with our gear, and made the journey to Marseille between 1 and 4 o’clock. I took my bicycle and Molly so had quite a time! The journey was very bumpy and wound through hills and mountains which were particularly beautiful. Now and again we passed a heap of stones for a cross that marked someone’s grave. At one point there were many piles of stones.
We eventually arrived at the “Bella Vista” – a seaside hotel taken over by the M of AT where we were cordially welcomed. The manageress was very kind and XXX for Molly very well.
