No “Armistice Silence” was observed in England today. Mrs. Roosevelt has been in England for several days. The French have ceased in N. Africa. Hitler has ordered the occupation of Unoccupied France and also Corsica. The American troops are still doing well and the army has recaptured Mersa Matruh.

We moved out into the stream this morning to allow a trooper to come alongside. Have remained at anchor all day.
