The Old Man had a queer idea to-day—or rather the Navy did. This morning a Commodore, a SNOPG, & a Commondore from the S.T.O. came to ask the Old Man how he towed his barges. The Old Man couldn’t remember exactly, but drew a horrible mess on a scrappy piece of paper & asked me to draw it out. I did, & it’s now at the S.T.O.!
