14th September 1943

We had an air raid warning at about 4 o’clock this afternoon, but nothing came of it. 16 Spitfires went off from the aerodrome, I hope. We have had plenty of rain today.

After playing football amongst ourselves for abt. 3/4 hr. the A/A challenged us to a game! They gave us 5 spare men as we hadn’t a complete team. The A/A won 7-1!
