21st September 1943
I went aboard the “Empire Splendour” today & found that she was going home. She has a full cargo & is leaving after fitting “Upper Torpedo Nets.”
I signed off the “Bandra” at 4 pm & met Munro (the fellow relieving me). He was shifted by the Old Man. The 2nd Engineer was calling the O.M. everything under the sun one day, so Munro poked his head in the door & said, “That goes for me too!”
This evening George, J., & I went to Telezzini’s, Pictures, & show.
