The orders today were to change back into blue suits once more, so now all look “almost human”. It seems ages since I last wore mine. I shall check all my things, and do a spot more washing, or I shall find myself in the soup.
The sea has calmed down considerably, but there is still a heavy swell. I’m absolutely itching to see what N. Zealand is like. I don’t expect they will give me much time to see what I want to! Three weeks will go very fast, but I don’t expect it will seem a long way to go, before we are on our way home.
The sea out here seems totally different to what it was several days ago, much clearer, and an absolutely marvelous light blue.
There is exactly twelve hours difference between ship’s time and home time. So when we are finishing supper, you are finishing breakfast.
