I had a letter from Hugh this morning, saying that the Old Man wanted me back by the 31st, so Iris and I went skating this evening while we had the chance. We had a grand time.

I met a fellow from school – Vendas – I think it was, who had been invalided out of the Fleet Air Arm through injuries and a nervous breakdown.
