BEEF
We up anchored at 2pm and moved alongside our discharging berth, where a Norwegian ship that was in our convoy was just finishing. Their captain came over to have a look at us, and guessed that it all happened on the night that the convoy broke up. I can’t understand why I haven’t had any mail. In fact, there are several people who can’t understand why they haven’t received letters.
Ahead of us is the Jacques Cartier bridge, or Harbour Bridge, which is supposed to be the 3rd longest in the world. It is a lovely bridge. The rumour on the wireless is that a complete convoy has been destroyed by the Admiral Von Scheer. I think that is very unlikely.
