24th November 1940

The weather today has been beautifully sunny and clear. A lovely greenish blue sky, and a deep blue river have contrasted delightfully against the pure white of the snow. The kind of cold weather you get here, so they say, is not of the damp variety, so once you are warmed up, you feel like really hard work.

We moved this morning to another berth to load army cars and lorries.

They are working all night tonight.
