26th November 1940

We got away pretty well to time this morning; minus our 4th engineer. He was ashore all last night. He may be picked up at Quebec, if he is there. He is only 19.

The weather has been lovely again, although bitterly cold. We had to fix the aerial lead-in on the bridge, and my hands felt as though they were frozen by the time the job was finished.

Yesterday evening we were stopped by several people who asked if we were English, and they told us if they had relatives living there.
