11th September 1940
Today has been rather an exciting one, because after much trouble and arguing we were at last allowed to go home, provided we come back Friday. I caught the midnight train. I saw “It’s a Date” first.
The journey took 9 ¼ hrs to London!
I didn’t see much damage from Euston to London Bridge, although L.B. station is closed.
London’s new A.A. barrage started tonight.
