12th May 1943
A violent wind blew at 0200 this morning, accompanied by heavy sheets of rain & lightning. It wake most of us up. We had a sand storm along with the rain, leaving a thick layer of sand over everything.
We are supposed to be heading for Cap Bon Peninsula, which has now been completely surrounded, & 100,000 prisoners have been taken in 4 days.
