13th November 1940

This afternoon I went ashore with Chlem, and we completed our shopping.

In the morning we shifted again, this time nearer the Jacques Cartier or Harbour Bridge.

In the evening, Jock, the gunner, and myself, went to see a good programme. The films were “Moon Over Burma”; and “Quarter Back”. The whole story of the convoy that was attacked by the Adm. Von Scheer, came out in the papers. Apparently, the “Jervis Bay” which was the escort to a convoy that this ship was in  two voyages ago, did some great work and sacrificed herself for the convoy.
