13th November 1943
The wind was blowing hard when I opened the port, this morning & a heavy sea was running on our port bow. Periodic squalls have gradually increased in fury all day. This is a fine weather ship; rides them like a lady! We expect to reach Loch Ewe by about Wednesday.
