We have received an apology from the naval authorities, for accusing us of missing a message. They made the error!

We shall reach Bahrain tonight but we are hardly likely to catch the convoy. This means a wait of several days. The troops have only three days extra rations.

The Russians are within a few miles of Kharkov and Rostov and both places are likely to fall soon.
