At last we are in calm weather – not that I mind the rough – but one likes a change after a fortnight of it. But even though the sea is calm and the wind has stopped, the skies are still covered in high, grey cloud.
News came through today that Paris has been occupied. Still we’ll get through OK.
We passed the “line” at 1.15pm today, so will probably be at Panama at about 1am Sunday morning.
Apparently the Caramia has been sunk (17,000 tons).
