15th October 1944
We shall arrive very early tomorrow morning at Cherbourg.
We are unescorted now and on our own. We passed a 7 knot convoy early this morning so our cargo must be pretty urgent or they would have tagged us on to that.
England beat Scotland yesterday for 6 – 20.
The largest convoy ever to sail from the UK was attacked for 4 days in the Atlantic by a pack of subs, according to the news.
