16th January 1945
We entered Milford Harbour more or less successfully at 0700, but no one expected us.
This afternoon however, we were told to go to the Clyde. We left at 1430 and are on our way, without convoy, despite the fact that a notice was put aboard to the effect that enemy subs. are operating in the Irish Sea. Six or 7 ships have been sunk off Milford in recent weeks including a trawler the night before last off Lundy Island.
