Victoria and London Bridge are still out of action. A telegram arrived at 1.15pm (two days late!), saying that the ship was sailing today. I returned by the 5.55pm, and was on board by 3A.M. To get to the Bank underground, I had to go by bus. It was an awful squash in the tube. No air raids have taken place here.
We hope to sail soon. We are all but loaded.
