I went ashore with Paddy today, though I hadn’t intended to at first. We went to the pictures, did some shopping and went up on “[Blank]” hill. From here we had an excellent view of a football match, which was taking place just beneath us. I think it was the army or air force versus the navy. It was a good match. Later we watched a baseball match, but didn’t think much of it.
