All day, there has been a cross between a sea mist and a fog, hanging over the horizon, but so far it hasn’t developed into a proper “pea-souper”, although the sea temperature is 10° below the air temperature, which suggests a fog.

We should meet the Halifax convoy tomorrow morning. During last night and this morning, I have heard several British and Allied ships asking for QTE’s or bearings. This means there is fog as usual off the Maritime ?. Gun practises have been pretty frequent.
