18th October 1942
In the morning, I took a half an hours walk to the Port Trust Building and made a rapid sketch of its façade. I had to stand up to do it, but was quite satisfied with the results.
In the evening, John and I went to the club again and had some wonderful tea and cakes for nothing, all home-made. Then we had a grand service with some soldiers from a nearby camp.
