Sailed earlier than expected – 0645.

The weather has been much warmer today. We sighted the convoy soon after leaving Bougie. One of the escorts came alongside with a loud hailer (or microphone) and told us what position to take. We passed Algiers at 2100. Several ships peeled off for this port, while others joined on from there.
