A corvette exploded a mine at about 11 o’clock this morning. It made quite a bang.

The weather has been wonderful all day and during the late afternoon we sighted N. Ireland to starboard, and Scotland to port.

We shall arrive all being well, in Holyhead tomorrow afternoon.
