I went up to John Smiths, the book shop in Glasgow, to buy a couple of things. Later I met Hugh and Pete (Mason) and we went shopping and to the pictures (“These Three” and “Don’t Take it to Heart”) – both very good. Snow fell heavily on our first day here and it has now frozen hard.
