22nd October 1940
We were unable to sail this morning, because we had to have a fresh permit from the Admiralty. A tug came alongside and said we would sail at 8A.M. tomorrow.
Jock has been night watchman for the last two nights, so I went ashore with Chlem, the new app. We saw “The Marines Ride High” and “Wife of Ling” or some such title.
May be we shall leave tomorrow!
