24th October 1944

We had to be up by 8 o’clock as the workmen made a start on the house. Yesterday, they knocked down the wall between the scullery and stairs and between my room and the bathroom. Today they built them up again, setting the bathroom wall back 3”.

This evening we played more table tennis.
