Arrived at Khor-Karei at 12 pm. Place still looks the same!

The Saloon had been quite nicely decorated. Breakfast was pretty wholesome. Again at 8 pm.

I don’t know about Darlan assassinated in his office by Le Clerc.

Russia have launched a new offensive in the Caucasus capturing much material. The M.N. had a broadcast message.

The King sent a Christmas message.

A Norwegian-American Coast ship spent 48 days on a raft.

Evening’s dinner was a big affair with the Chief, Second, & Mate. At 8-30 the others were invited to the saloon, & everybody had a drink. The soldiers & the rest of the crew had one so we had two!
