25th December 1944

We arrived at Garner’s at about 2200 hours just as they were about to start on the meat!

Had a marvellous feed. Bambi has grown.

We had a 12 pound turkey between 7 of us. Grandpa was grand.

It was grand to have a well-cooked dinner for a change. After dinner we all sat around the fire & listened to Renée’s records.

Auntie Molly & Uncle Reg came.

I had to leave at 1825 hours as we had to ride on my bicycle to go to Purley & Underground train from Coulsdon to Paddington. I used spot light to pick out the curb.

Caught the 2150 train back to Falmouth.
