M didn’t sleep at all between 8 pm and midnight, but said his nerves were all to pieces and the noise of the waves breaking over and the pitching and rolling made it impossible to sleep, so he came into the wireless room for about two hours and yarned!
The weather has been very rough, skies have been grey, and huge seas have swept on board continuously. Many times we dip our bulwarks under the water and “scoop up the sea!” as we roll over.
People are very nervous on board compared to previous trips. Mr. B is still as cheerful as ever and he and I get on wonderfully together.
