Once more we arrive! It is identical in almost every respect, to my last visit here. We arrived at the same time, the weather was lovely and sunny and in everyway I was reminded of the 12th August 1940!

We moved away from the quarantine station, at about 10 o’clock, and now we are in full view of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan, and incidentally, Erie Basin where we had our shifting boards put up, while on the “Ethel”.
