Today seems to have flown. I suppose I can’t wonder at it really, because when I’m not on watch I’m either eating or sleeping. After all one doesn’t get much time off when the programme is as follows:
12 MIDNIGHT – 6AM – ON WATCH
12 MIDDAY – 6PM – ON WATCH
8AM – 12PM – SLEEPING AND BREAKFAST
12.30 – 1PM – Relieving 1st off.
6PM – 12.M.N – SLEEPING
The sea has now definitely lost its placid look, and has once more taken on the ruffled look, that reminds one of Tommy Farr’s hair after a 15 round contest.
The ship has been rolling pretty badly.
