30th March 1944
The wind is blowing hard from the East now and we are pitching and rolling heavily although the sea is not very rough.
This evening we dropped right astern of the convoy until it became obvious that we would be unable to catch up before dark.
We are now chugging along miles astern and probably won’t be able to see any of the ships by morning!
