It was given out on the radio today that the M.N. had lost 26,000 of their personnel so far.

We anchored off the port of Glasgow at 1500 hours in company with two big troop ships (including the New Amsterdam) two smaller troopers and at least 6 aircraft carriers. The port is closed until morning.
