The “British Freedom” has been sunk in mid-Atlantic, with the loss of one life.

I met Daphne at 1530 this afternoon and we went for a bit of a walk before having tea in the Plaza. Later we went in to see “Bathing Beauty” staring Esther Williams and Red Skelton. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was pouring with rain when we came out so I went home with Daphne for supper. Her brother (the eldest) was home from Belgium. He has an old school tie accent!
